Objectives of the course
The objective of the course is to provide “hands on training to personnel in pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries and startups on practical aspects of NMR data acquisition and analysis relevant to QC and R&D of pharmaceuticals and biosimilars.
Who can apply?
Only industry users with MSc / M. Pharma / M. Tech / PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology / Physics.
Who will Benefit?
Chemical / Pharmaceutical QC and R & D Personnel, whose are interested in acquiring and analyzing their own NMR data or NMR data in literature for API (small molecules, biosimilars, etc…), and synthesis pipeline (starting material, reaction intermediate and product) characterization.
Detailed Curriculum
The workshop will cover various aspects of data acquisition such as pulse width calibration, optimizing signal-to-noise in NMR spectra, solvent suppression, suppression of signals from excipients, measurement of relaxation times, acquisition of DOSY data, acquisition of 2D homonuclear (DQFCOSY, TOCSY, NOESY and ROESY) and heteronuclear NMR experiments at natural abundance (HMBC and HSQC). Demonstrations and hands-on training will be provided to illustrate various practical considerations in NMR data acquisition and analysis. In addition, processing methods for each of the data sets will also be covered.
