About the Programme
The core vision of the Extension Lecture Programme has been to motivate young students from schools and colleges to pursue higher studies of their choice. By attending these lectures, students from various backgrounds gain valuable insights into the past, present, and recent developments in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Medicine (STEM).
CCE has been organizing these lectures since 1990. IISc faculty from different departments have travelled to various locations to deliver semi-scientific and popular lectures. These sessions are designed to transfer information on the latest scientific developments from IISc and other organizations, helping to popularize science and foster a confident, scientific approach to modern challenges.

A Note on the Programme's Evolution
Due to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional Extension Lecture Programme was temporarily discontinued. A new initiative has been launched to continue our mission of outreach and education:
