Curriculum development cell

  • The Curriculum Development Cell (CDC) was sponsored by the AICTE and started operating in 1979
  • Coordinated by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), the CDC's mandate and primary activities encompass the following:
  • Resource Creation: Writing books, preparing laboratory manuals, and developing demonstration units and audio-visual aids
  • Curriculum Management: Developing and updating the curriculum specifically for postgraduate education in engineering
  • Educational Technology: Undertaking developments, as well as conducting workshops and seminars, related to Educational Technology
  • Assessments: Developing evaluation procedures and creating materials for examination forms
  • Specialized Training: Conducting short-duration programs for teachers, and providing technical education and vocational training for handicapped persons
