About NPTEL IISc

NPTEL IISc is the local coordination office of the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. It plays an important role in supporting the planning, development, recording, and coordination of online courses offered by IISc faculty through the NPTEL platform.

Every year, IISc contributes around 100 courses through NPTEL across various disciplines such as engineering, science, management, humanities, and interdisciplinary areas. These courses are designed and delivered by experienced IISc faculty members and are made available to learners across India.

The NPTEL IISc office coordinates with faculty members, teaching assistants, and the NPTEL team for smooth course creation and delivery. It also supports activities such as course recording, assignment coordination, examination-related support, student communication, and other academic and administrative processes.

Through NPTEL, IISc aims to make high-quality education accessible to students, working professionals, researchers, and lifelong learners. NPTEL IISc continues to contribute to the national mission of promoting technology-enabled learning and expanding access to quality higher education.
