PRINCIPAL RESEARCH SCIENTIST

Dr. G. Narayana Naik is a distinguished academic and researcher with a strong focus on aerospace engineering. He holds a PhD in Design and Development of Failure Mechanisms Based on Failure Theory from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). His research interests include Aerostructures, Solid Mechanics, Structural Mechanics, FEM, Composites, Nanocomposites, Failure Mechanics, Damage Mechanics, and Optimization Techniques. Dr. Naik’s contributions to these fields have been recognized with a high H-index and citation scores, reflecting his significant impact on the scientific community.

Objectives of the Course

Composites are future materials with applications across engineering fields such as Aero, Civil, Mechanical, Automobile, and Marine.

Many FEM software packages are available for Analysis and Design Optimization.

Understanding the mechanical behavior of composite structures is essential before using FEM tools.

After completing the course, learners can use FEM software for better quality professional work and optimal use of time, computing, and human resources.

The course also introduces Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts for design optimization of composite structures.
