A structured online programme from IISc introduces the fundamentals of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and compliance standards for electrical and electronic product design.
He is currently working as a Senior Scientific Officer at SERC, IISc. He specializes in Computational Electromagnetics, focusing on fast and parallel scientific computing tools for solving complex electromagnetic problems. His research includes scalable matrix solvers, high-frequency integral equations, and antenna design using techniques such as MoM and FDTD, with applications like Radar Cross Section computation and antenna optimization.nnHe completed his Ph.D. at IISc Bangalore, M.Tech from Delhi University, and B.Tech from GGSIPU Delhi. Dr. [Your Name] serves as a reviewer for journals including ACES, IET Microwaves Antennas & Propagation, and PIERS, and was Secretary of the IEEE EPS Bangalore Chapter (2020–22).
The course focuses on understanding the basics of electromagnetic compatibility & immunity (EMC/EMI) and its compliance standards like FCC, CISPR requirements.
In this course, introducing the EMC design concept will be discussed, including early EMC concept, troubleshooting and modelling using EDA tools.
Case studies on radiated & conducted emissions, immunity and electrostatic discharge at the system level.
Other failure issues will be mentioned briefly. In addition, the issue of radio frequency interference at the system level will be discussed.
